I decided to give myself a totally achievable scrapbooking target this year, so if I scrap more than 10 layouts I'll be happy. Totally do-able! haha
Sometimes I think my kids need to reminded of all the good things they have going for them. I love how when you scrap about this kind of stuff it's recorded permanently for them to see forever, so if they don't always listen to you, at least they can see it on a scrapbook page. I always leave my latest creations out on display around the house until the next page comes along too (which means that sometimes a page will be left out on display for months...haha).
One of my favourite things to do is to gather some cool ready made embellishments, alter them a little and make them into a "bunch".
............................................
This LO was created one evening last week when I finally stopped ignoring the urge to create something and just did it! I grabbed a stack of fun pretty supplies and a paper sandwich bag (another favourite product to use atm) and made a page to celebrate the little things in life that make me happy. On this particular day it was: a shiny new washing machine, working from home, a honey joy on my notepad, a cute little chipboard bird and I discovered mini cans of diet coke at the supermarket! All totally insignificant and superficial, but made me smile with happiness just the same.....
Can you see all the found objects and packaging products I used on this page? I folded a section of the paper bag over and hid the photos and journaling underneath.
It was fun to make lots of "bunches" of embellishments on this LO.
So, that brings my annual scrapbook layout to a grand total of 3, 8 more LO's and I'll have officially achieved my goal! haha
